School Age Before & After Care

Ages 5 - 12 years

Willa Road Children’s Center’s School Age Program offers Before and After care for children between Kindergarten and 5th Grade. We currently partner with three local schools: Newark Charter, Las Aspiras Academy and West Park Elementary. Seamless pick-up and drop-off are available for the children through the school bus systems. The children will be picked up in the morning and return to Willa in the afternoon. 

Before care begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends when your child’s school bus arrives. After care begins when your child’s school bus drops them off at the end of their school day, and you may pick them up before we close at 5:30 p.m. An afternoon snack should be packed for when the children arrive for the After care program.

Before Care is usually spent engaged in relaxed, free-play activities or reading with friends and teachers. We want to ensure that your child is refreshed before getting on the school bus in order to have a successful day at school. 

Upon returning from school for the After Care program, the children will be greeted with an afternoon snack. They will have the opportunity to engage in outdoor activities in our playground or choose self-directed activities such as reading, doing homework  and many age-appropriate activities we have throughout the Center.
